The programmatic color changing can entertain small children about as well as a TV; and they’re nice as a porch light for trick or treaters.
The whole concept of the smart bulbs is way oversold; a dimmer does 99% of what you actually want, and that remaining 1% is better served by actual real stage lighting.
(And if you really need smarts you can get them in the light switch with dumb bulbs)
