So I built the voltage ladder & I have the right voltages on all pins, still just get a light flash from the bandsaw. Maybe my BMS board is toast. Luckily a new shell (with BMS board) arrived today.
Yes, my original idea was to pass all the pins from the pack through to the tool except B+/-, which would additionally go through the foot switch. But the only pack-side adapters I can find only expose B+/-, not all 8 of the pins.
I’m waiting for a “for-parts” 20V Max tool from eBay so I can harvest the battery holder & get access to all the pins.
