How to Destroy Surveillance Capitalism by Cory Doctorow

This is the fulltext of a rather short book that is, in some forms, a response to “The Age of Surveillance Capitalism” by Zuboff.

Doctorow’s core thesis is that it’s monopoly that is the problem - that, yes, the surveillance is an issue, but it’s enabled and empowered by monopoly and the lack of choice (which seems a reasonable argument, when you have one choice for social, well, they can do whatever they want, and Facebook does).

Well worth sitting down to read.
