It’ll be fine until it’s not. It just depends on how scrambled they are internally.
Remember that speaker wire insulation has a very low melting temperature, typically lower than “zip cord” wiring, and definitely lower than in-wall house wiring (90C).
if you’re wiring round cylindrical cells together, us humans typically make things flat and square, so the “corner” between the round battery and square enclosure should have plenty of space for a wire.
