I’ve worked with (cursed at) small engines mostly when I was young, but never actually took a carb apart. This explains a lot!

They work via voodoo and trickery and lots of swearing until you get it just right.
He’s got a lot of great videos, but I think this is one of the best ones on the internet and not just because of the banter back and forth with his dad. “You’re pretty smart for a redneck.”
I’ve read that carburetors use a Venturi tube countless times, but I didn’t really understand how it used the tube to mix the fuel until watching this. The visual of how the choke changes the mixture was helpful too.
